- In late 1972 – early 1973, the slitter blade configuration was changed. The earlier machines had three 1/16″ (.0625″) thick slitter blades that were used with stiffening collars on the two bottom blades. These early blades were designated “Style A” and are still available for use with your non wear stiffening collars.
- The later models have no stiffening collars but instead feature two bottom blades that are 1/8″ (.125″) thick and a top blade that remains 1/16″ (.0625″) thick. This later configuration is referred to as “Style B” and works on all single slitting models since mid 1973.
- These styles are not interchangeable although many older machines have been retrofitted and now use the Style B blades.
